Nearby Share for Windows, an application that helps you share files between Android devices and Windows PCs. It promises to be a fast and simple way to share files across your own devices and with people you are nearby. Now on nearly 3 billion active Android devices, Nearby Sharing allows us to quickly send and receive content on Android phones, tablets, and Chromebooks.

Nearby Share for Windows is very simple to set up. Just download and install the Nearby Share app on your PC. You'll then be able to send the file to nearby Android devices or send it to your PC based on your device's display preferences.

The Nearby Share feature works with your Windows PC whether the application is open on the desktop or running in the background. Send a photo, video, or document from your PC to a nearby Android device easily by dragging and dropping it into the app or by selecting “Send using Nearby Sharing” in the menu right mouse button. Just choose which Android device you want to share with from the pop-up list.

Sending files to your own device is even faster. As long as both devices are signed in to your Google account, file transfers are automatically accepted — even when your screen is off.

To share from your Android device to your computer, just make sure that the Nearby Share app is running on your PC. Then it's easy to tap Share on the content you want to send and select your PC from the list of available devices.
