Alternative A2DP Driver is a device driver that replaces the A2DP Bluetooth driver in Windows 10/11 and allows you to tweak CODED parameters.

Main features:

aptX HD and LDAC can provide higher quality audio than other CODECs such as SBC, AAC and aptX.
A2DP transmits data with error detection and retransmission functions.
If your headset works well with the Windows inbox driver, you may want to increase the bit rate and enjoy better sound quality.
Windows inbox A2DP driver only supports 44.1 kHz sampling frequency for SBC CODEC. But a lot of content is encoded at 48 kHz, including a lot of video content. Therefore, when playing such content, they are forced to reduce the sampling frequency to 44.1 kHz.

Select the audio device for which you want to install the alternative A2DP Driver in the left pane.
Switch Device Driver from "Windows Standard Driver" to "Alternate A2DP Driver" and click the "Install" button on the right.
You will be asked if you want to change the system. Please select Yes.
Adjust CODEC parameters to your preferences.
The new parameters will take effect when the headset is reconnected.
