Pulsar MP-EQ is an emulation of the legendary analog equalizer used in most mastering studios worldwide. Engineered from the best passive equalizers of the past 70 years, its fully parallel architecture delivers a unique and musical frequency response compared to digital equalizers of the same setup. Thanks to this design, the frequency bands interact naturally, resulting in a more musical overall response.

Modern EQ Version

For the first time, a plugin allows you to manipulate a very special analog EQ curve visually. The curve editor is extremely easy to use, with a clear and concise display of the overall frequency response. You can edit all properties of any filter - including its assigned name - without touching the bottom panel.

Drive Control

This parameter lets you boost or even cut the characteristic and musical analog sound of the original device. Accurate models of transformers, tubes and inductors are all combined to recreate the delicate low-frequency compression of the program loved by generations of sound engineers.

Mid-Side Processing

The Pulsar MP-EQ has an optional M/S encoding and decoding function built in, allowing the mono and stereo information of the signal to be processed separately with different settings. The Listen buttons let you listen to each signal individually, and the display shows only the channel you're working on, so you always know what you're doing.

Auto Gain

This control compensates for volume changes due to equalization, keeping the output level consistent with the input. The unit uses a C-Weighting-based algorithm to apply level compensation based on EQ curve analysis. The compensation gain applied depends only on your EQ settings and will not change during playback.

Spectrum Analyzer & Meters

The on-screen analyzer displays the audio spectrum in real time (fast and slow window settings) or over time with the Infinite Spectrum setting. Additionally, peak measurements provide insight into overall dynamics, and an RMS meter lets you monitor loudness and level matching. An overall gain meter is also available.

Transformer

Choose between three output transformer options: "Original" mode that matches the performance of the hardware circuit; an exclusive mode that is even more vibrant than original, allowing for warm, deep coloration; and an option to remove the output transformer model altogether.

Pulsar MP-EQ takes full advantage of modern CPUs to do more with less. Selectable oversampling is also available for capable computers, with processing speeds up to 384 kHz. You can choose to apply a higher sampling setting when outputting data than when playing back.

Linear Phase Correction

Pulsar MP-EQ introduces a process in the EQ simulation plugin for the first time, allowing the option to re-align all frequencies after the EQ stage, upgrading the analog-style EQ to a true linear phase EQ.
