Waldorf PPG Wave 3.V is a modern sound synthesis software that faithfully emulates the legendary PPG Wave sound synthesis hardware from the 1980s, recreating the unique sound of analog waveforms and filters, while adding extensive features and controls for contemporary sound producers.

Key features:

Up to 256 voices of polyphony, depending on your server.

Eight-part multimode: Fully multi-timbral, with up to 8 simultaneous parts, each assignable to different stereo outputs.

Voice architecture:

• Two wavetable oscillators per voice.
• Optional sample playback with selectable resolution: 8, 12 or 32 bits.
• The sound can be shaped with authentic 12 or 24 dB low-pass filter simulations after the oscillators, then processed with optional overdrive for added character.
• One LFO and three envelope generators per voice for modulation.

Switchable simulation modes: PPG Wave 2.2, 2.3, 2.V and new 3.V, with the ability to adjust the amount of sawtooth and modulation "grain" to taste Authentic classic.

Extensive effects suite for each part: 4-band EQ, phaser, chorus, flanger, overdrive (multiple types), stereo delay and reverb.

Arpeggiator with classic modes (Up, Down, Alternate, Cascade/PPG special, Random, Moving).

Import samples using drag & drop or the file dialog, and play back multiple samples using multi-mode.

Fine Modulation mode allows for fine tuning and modulation that is not possible on the original hardware.

Over 100 new wavetables created by Wolfgang Palm; also includes original PPG Wave and Waveterm B sound libraries.
