Prinect Package Designer is a CAD/CAM System developed by Heidelberg. It provides packaging and die-cutting tools. It provides the ability to compose folding cartons as well as display them quickly and easily with parametric design. It also provides animated folding sequences and preset data for quick folder sticker setup.

Its scope of supply includes an extensive library of reusable folding cartons, displays and packaging components, including complete ECMA and FEFCO catalogs.

Prinect Package Designer can be integrated into a complete Prinect workflow. This allows automatic generation of sheet designs and layouts for standard drafts pulled from the library. Additionally, data coming from the CAD system can be used to create time- and material-saving presets for later printing.

With Illustrator Connect, a Package Designer plugin for Adobe Illustrator®, CAD data including 3D rendering can be used to support graphic design. The graphic designer can directly check whether the position of all the edges of the box is correct. Positioning objects that span multiple pages is handled with our software automation, ensuring that visual touchpoints always match precisely.

• The Synergy option provides the basis for efficient design and editing of parametric components. Libraries can be created with individual, resizable boxes, displays, and folding components.
• The Diemaker option allows drawing dies with bridges, cutters and compensators. Die cutting information can be relayed to the die cutting tool manufacturer or can be used to control the machine tool.
