Flicker Free for Media Composer 3.0.2

Flicker Free is a plugin developed by Digital Anarchy designed to remove flicker from video footage. The plugin easily handles flicker from sources such as LED lights, fluorescent lights, time-lapse videos, archived footage, slow motion, and computer monitor images. Users can apply Flicker Free to their clips in Media Composer by dragging the effect onto the clip and adjusting simple settings as needed, with presets available for different flickering issues.

Remove flicker from LEDs, Time Lapse, and more

Flicker Free was originally designed to eliminate flicker in Time Lapse mode, but it works extremely well with many other types of flickering. The most common problem is that the camera and lights are out of sync, resulting in flicker. However, it can handle flicker from LED or fluorescent lights, Slow Motion (high-speed) footage, Drone footage, and more.

Simple Flicker Reduction Presets

We strive to create software that is intuitive, delivers superior results, and is extremely easy to use. Flicker Free comes with presets for most types of video flicker, and only a few parameters to adjust if the Flicker Reduction preset isn't perfect. You'll be surprised how quickly it can fix video flicker that would otherwise require reshooting.

Motion Compensation

Flicker Free uses an optical flow algorithm (used to re-time footage) to detect and delineate moving objects independently, even when there is camera movement. For footage with moving cameras or lots of motion in the video, these built-in motion estimation algorithms are extremely effective at fixing poor quality video or footage that was previously unfixable.

GPU Acceleration

Removing flicker from footage requires us to request a lot of frames from the host application and analyze all the color information in those frames. This process can take a minute or two, especially when dealing with 4K or larger footage. Flicker Free is significantly GPU accelerated, with a performance increase of over 300% over the previous version.
