Ancestral Author Classic helps you profile your genealogy research by creating fully hyperlinked Adobe Acrobat PDF files from GEDCOM files. Use text and image jpeg files to create illustrated books with chapters, descendant reports, ancestor reports, and name indexes. It is simple to use and produces high quality documents that can be printed, emailed, published on the internet or sent to a service office for conversion into a book.

Easily convert downloaded GEDCOM to PDF. Just drag the GEDCOM to the icon on the Ancestral Author screen and in seconds you'll have a fully indexed and hyperlinked PDF document. This makes it easy to see GEDCOMs downloaded from FamilySearch, Ancestry.com, Rootsweb, Genealogy.com, etc.

You can embed an image in your document text. For example, if you've written a biography of your ancestors, you can import a picture of him or her, put a caption on it, and place it on the profile page. For a sample, click here.
