GTPsim is a system performance modeling environment for gas turbines and related energy systems. Any gas turbine engine can be modeled by arranging and connecting the component models in a corresponding configuration using a drag-and-drop interface.

In addition to the standard non-dimensional component models of GTPsim, d.c. models can be embedded, such as turbine mean current code, heat exchanger/recovery model 1-D and multi-combustion reactor model. With optional parallel computations of different gas and SAS paths, execution speed is maintained at a high level. Heat transfer and other thermal effects can be added using a wide thermal network.

A tutorial function is provided for quick configuration of common gas turbine configuration models taking the user through several steps of defining basic engine design data. Simulation results can be presented in a variety of formats including tabular and graphical, including operating curves in component maps.

In addition, GTPsim includes comprehensive simulation project management functionality, thus providing an optimal overview of different model versions, simulation run cases and simulation results .
