Based on the FFmpeg multimedia package and its built-in libraries, LAV Splitter aims to provide you with a dedicated tool for splitting various types of media files into their underlying streams and allowing Blu-Ray disc playback on your PC. Filters are still under development, so not every feature is perfect or every format is supported.
Features of LAV Filters
- Supports MKV/WebM, AVI, MP4/MOV, MPEG-TS/PS formats (including basic EVO support), FLV, OGG, and more supported by ffmpeg!
- Video codecs for H264, VC-1, MPEG-2, MPEG4-ASP (Divx / Xvid), VP8, MJPEG and more.
- Audio codec compatible with AAC, AC3, DTS (-HD), TrueHD, MP3/MP2, Vorbis, LPCM and more.
- Subtitle support: VOB, DVB Subs, PGS, SRT, SSA / ASS, Text
- Support for opening BluRay playlists (.mpls), as well as index.bdmv files, which will try to detect main movie playlists. BluRay support is still in its early stages and there are still many improvements and new features planned!
