Most cameras available for purchase are color cameras, which differ from black-and-white cameras in that color filters are applied to their sensors. Color cameras can be converted to monochrome cameras by removing the color filter array, but without modifying the camera's firmware, the resulting images may suffer loss of quality.

Specially designed to process digital images created with a camera that have been converted to monochrome format, Monochrome2DNG provides a simple means of converting RAW images to DNG format without affects quality. It is compatible with a variety of RAW data files, including ARW, CR2, NEF, PEF, DNG and RAF.

Main features:

• It takes input files from the camera that have been converted to monochrome.
• It then saves it as a “true” monochrome DNG file, suitable for use with popular converters that support the DNG format (which means almost all of them).
