Service Security Editor is free software that allows you to effectively add/remove service permissions that restrict or allow access to your system. This tool is designed to provide an easy way for users to grant (or deny) the ability to start, stop, pause or modify any Windows Service with minimal clicks.
Service Security Editor will be an alternative to Microsoft's powerful SC and SubInACL.exe command line programs. Service Security Editor is a powerful administration tool and is designed for more experienced users, proceed with caution as changes may have adverse effects on your system.
Use:
1. When you start Service Security Editor, it will display a list of services running on your machine.
2. Select a service and click the Open... button to pop up the service's standard Windows Service Security Settings window.
3. From there, select a user in the top section and check the boxes below to grant or deny him any abilities you see fit. Click the Add... button to include an account that is not on the list. And of course, click the OK or Apply button to record your changes.
