Size4KWrite is a very small, free, portable application for evaluating your hard drive. Size4KWrite writes to volume, no buffer, multiple files with random data 4 KiB (File Size) with 16 threads and 32 queues, then calculates MB/s based on milliseconds used to complete into all activities.

With Size4KWrite, you can view some system information about your processor, motherboard, video card, RAM, and operating system and build. As with any benchmarking application, you should close all running applications and not use your computer during the benchmarking process.

You can then see a comparison with other drives and save the screenshot. One problem is figuring out why some drives are so much faster than my hard drives when I have a pretty high end computer. Also no hint as to how you might find the bottleneck with your SSD.

Size4KWrite is a good choice to evaluate your drive's performance. This can help one figure out if there are any slowdowns, which is very important for HDD and SSD.
