NNSuperResolution is a 2x/4x upscaling plugin for Foundry's Nuke. Enjoy the ability, directly in your high-end, plate/photographic materials and sequences at much higher resolution. The algorithm that performs the upgrade is based on modern neural network technology (also commonly known as deep learning, machine learning, or artificial intelligence). Two modes are available using different network solutions for best results on still images or sequences. Although the static mode produces sharper results, it can be jittery/flicker on some moving materials. Sequence mode focuses on producing the sharpest and most detailed results possible while remaining focused on ensuring consistent results over time.

Features of NNSuperResolution

  • Premium with 2x or 4x multipliers.
  • Sequence mode to enhance image sequences such as shot source, final composite, CG render, and more.
  • Still mode for enhancing photos and other static materials like DMP patches, textures, etc.
  • Processes all RGB channels of the input image (multi-layer supported, i.e. you can feed multiple layers through the plugin at the same time using Nuke's native multi-layer/multi-channel system).
  • Sequence mode CG upscaling solution capable of upscaling RGBA images (i.e. 3D rendering).
  • High dynamic range enhancement.
  • Handles native overscan (i.e. it handles bounding boxes larger than the image format/frame). Please note that bounding boxes cannot be animated in sequential mode, meaning it cannot differ between frames.
  • GPU accelerated with NVIDIA's CUDA (NVIDIA graphics card required).
  • Stitch inside some inference/image patches (so that high resolution images can be upscaled without a lot of VRAM available on the GPU).
  • Supports Nuke 12.0 and above on Windows.
