LostMyPassword is a tool for Windows that allows you to recover a lost password if it was stored by a software installed on your system. LostMyPassword can extract passwords from popular programs, including web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Internet Explorer, Opera, etc.), POP3/IMAP/SMTP passwords stored by email software (Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird, Windows Mail), Dialup/VPN passwords stored by Windows operating system, remote computer login passwords stored by Windows operating system.

You can use LostMyPassword in 2 modes: regular user mode and Administrator mode. Administrator mode is required for some types of passwords because they cannot be decrypted without Administrator privileges. If you have a 64-bit system, we recommend using the 64-bit version of LostMyPassword to ensure that you get all the passwords stored on your system.

System Requirements

This tool works on all versions of Windows, from Windows XP to Windows 11. Both 32-bit and 64-bit systems are supported. To recover all types of passwords on a 64-bit system, you must use the 64-bit version of LostMyPassword.

Note: On the latest Windows 11 update (24H2), LSA protection is enabled by default, and this feature will block LostMyPassword from recovering passwords stored by the Windows operating system.
