Just like XFig, WinFIG has become quite popular for users with academy because of the ability to use syntax LaTeX for the text as well as export to PSTricks, embedding PostScript or PDF into LaTeX or create output LaTeX pure. So, there are quite many options to fit WinFIG in the environment of LaTeX, but of course it's not limited to that.

The main features of WinFIG

  • Compose drawings using ellipses, circles, polygons, splines, arcs, arrows, images, text objects
  • Draw the solid line, dashed line or dot by the concatenation miter, round or beveled

  • Manipulate your drawings by moving, stretching, flipping, aligning
