WinFIG 2024.2

WinFIG is a application vector graphics editor. Format and export the file as close to Xfig as possible, but the program take advantage of Windows features like clipboard, preview, machine, print, multiple documents, etc. WinFIG is based on the program Amiga ago my name AmiFIG. The aim is not just copy or copy Xfig. I've been trying to improve the user interface, so users Xfig experienced can realize that the interface is not the same and some things different activities. The handling was changed to support the mouse 2 button. I and btw I think it could use more.

Just like XFig, WinFIG has become quite popular for users with academy because of the ability to use syntax LaTeX for the text as well as export to PSTricks, embedding PostScript or PDF into LaTeX or create output LaTeX pure. So, there are quite many options to fit WinFIG in the environment of LaTeX, but of course it's not limited to that.

The main features of WinFIG

• Compose drawings using ellipses, circles, polygons, splines, arcs, arrows, images, text objects
• Draw the solid line, dashed line or dot by the concatenation miter, round or beveled
• Use color and pattern
• Manipulate your drawings by moving, stretching, flipping, aligning
• Create objects collage
• Arrange objects in different layers to control the order they overlap
• Use grid and magnet and constraints for geometry (e.g. to only create the lines compatible LaTeX)
• Interface script for JavaScript
• Export to box, CGM, DXF, EMF, epic, ge, GIF, IBMGL, dxf, JPEG, LaTeX, map, MetaFont, metaposta, please, PCX, PDF, pic, figex, PNG, (encapsulated) PostScript, ppm, pstex, PST , shape, sld, SVG, tk, TikZ and others
• Smart links to support the diagramming techniques, i.e. for creating connections between nodes.
