Jubler Subtitle Εditor 8.0.0

Jubler is a text-based subtitle editing tool. It can be used as a new subtitle authoring software or as a tool to convert, convert, edit and refine existing subtitles. It is open source under the free general public license (GNU). It is written in Java 5.0 (also known as Java 1.5.0) to be truly cross-platform. It has been tested on Linux (Intel 32 & 64 bit), Windows (XP and Vista) and Mac OS X (PPC and Intel).

Jubler Subtitle Editor features

• It supports Advanced SubStation, SubStation Alpha, SubRip, SubViewer (1 and 2), MicroDVD, MPL2 and Spruce DVD Maestro file formats, although it can be easily extended to support other file types.
• All encodings supported by the Java platform are also supported here (like UTF-8). Users can select their preferred encoding list to load localized subtitle files.
• Supports GUI internationalization via gettext utility.
• Supported styles (when saving in SubStation or SRT format). These styles are specific to each subtitle or character.
• Translation mode (parent and child editor) supported
• Graphical preview of subtitles using the FFMPEG library. Supports current frame, waveform preview and waveform listening.
• Display subtitles graphically, moveable and resizable.
• Play the subtitle file using a video player (mplayer). While in play mode, the user can freely edit subtitles (and notify the player about this change) or add new subtitles in real time
• Mark subtitles in different colors when editing or in real time when playing video
• Automatically highlight any subtitles that exceed a certain threshold size
• Check spelling, support dictionary selection
• Check subtitles on movies and navigate with a fully graphical interface
