Axel Grude QuickFilters Pro 6.5.3

This extension makes creating new mail filters much easier, just drag emails into the folder and let quickFilters do the "heavy lifting" of filling in the sometimes complicated settings in the settings filter. Filters are often used to move emails to other folders, automatically, so it's easier to tell Thunderbird "what to do" by manually dragging a regular email, rather than filling in all the fields. Complex details are reasonable.

Features

• It will pre-populate the destination folder and other related fields after you drag the email into another folder in the tree.
• Filter Assistant: On this screen, you choose the type of information (search terms) that will trigger the filter action and the type of action the filter will perform. A search term is an 'event' that applies to incoming emails, such as 'sender is fred', 'message tagged as important', 'this message is more than a month old' etc.
• Filter templates: This section describes the different templates provided to create filters based on moved/copied/selected emails. I may add more templates in the future, if I get good requests from users. You can use the issue tracker to suggest new samples.
• Filter Merge: This is a special screen on the filter assistant that is displayed if there is already a filter that does the same action as the one you want the new filter to do. You can also call it using the 'Incorporate filter' button on the filter toolbar. Note that you can only multiplex filters that have the same action (such as moving to a certain folder or adding a certain tag), quickFilters ensures that no other filters can be multiplexed together.
• Mail has been moved: What if I've moved my Mail to another folder? There is a possibility that sometimes we forget to turn on the filter assistant or we have moved a lot of messages manually.
• Message filter list: QuickFilters adds more functionality to the filter list dialog - this became necessary after creating multiple filters became so easy.
