What is intermittent fasting?
Intermittent fasting is an eating pattern in which you cycle between eating and fasting periods. It says nothing about which foods to eat but when you should eat them.
There are several different methods of intermittent fasting, all of which divide the day or week into eating periods and fasting periods. Most people have "fasted" daily while sleeping.
