Resource Hacker (also known as ResHacker or ResHack) is a powerful resource editor software that allows you to edit (add, delete, rename, extract, replace, or modify) system resources Windows files. It can be used to edit system files or Windows-based applications like * .exe, * .dll, * .cpl, * .bat, and more.

This program is designed to be a complete resource editing tool: compile, view, decompile, and recompile resources for both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows executables. Resource Hacker can add or remove existing elements of files, can view and change advanced information in Windows such as adding new resources such as new Bitmap, icon, Cursor, AVI; add new menus, insert new resources in the dialog box. This application helps users to automate many tasks in running programs to save time.

View and Edit Resources:

Once a resource file has been opened its resource will normally be displayed as an image (or group of images) or as decompiled text. Binary resources, usually images, cannot be edited directly with Resource Hacker, but they can still be exported and imported very easily once they have been modified by an external image editor.

Binary resources of an unknown format will be displayed as read-only binary text.
