Baselight Editions extends the capabilities of high-end color grading systems directly onto the Avid timeline in a powerful, flexible, and tightly integrated workflow. This AVX plugin features unlimited color layers, grading inside and outside of overlays, variable feather effects, point tracking, and area tracking — all live and interactively on the timeline. Avid time, minimizing and even eliminating the need to return to color sets with last-minute changes.

Renderless workflow for optimal efficiency and flexibility

Everything you do in Baselight for Avid – or the entire Baselight system – is saved in the project and can be embedded into an AAF file and/or saved into the FilmLight BLG file format. Layers can be exported from the full Baselight suite and imported into Avid so you can apply full, complex layers in seconds – without rendering. It includes all grading layers, tracking information, and even keyframes so no manual adjustments are needed.

And the workflow is completely bi-directional – if a score is changed in Avid, it can be exchanged with the Baselight system or even another Avid suite easily, with all the All edits are preserved and do not need to be complied with.

Baselight for Avid allows you to view – or display – scores transferred between departments via BLG data encoded in AAF files – without purchasing. Perfect for collaborating with colleagues or facilities that don't have Baselight or don't need complete control over the look and feel.
